Who We Are

We are a family owned business. The building we are located in used to be the stagecoach stop between Redding and Eureka during the late 1800s. In the 1940s the building was transformed into a small restaurant. During the 1960s Trinity High School was located just across the street and the restaurant located in our current location was known as "the" place to eat for the high school crowd. The restaurant itself has changed names a few times since the '40s, and a few owners, but the love of food and people has surpassed the test of time. 

We hope that you'll stop in, not just to the Nugget, but to the town of Weaverville. Nestled at the foot of the Trinity Alps, Weaverville offers something for everyone. Picturesque uptown is adorned with adorable and unique shops where you'll find everything from souvenirs, to antiques, to handmade pottery. The historic Weaverville Joss House is a must-see for anyone interested in Gold Rush History, as is the Jake Jackson Museum and the Stamp Mill. There are historic homesteads just a few miles from town. And if history isn't your thing we boast world class hiking, camping, rafting, hunting, and fishing.
